The Daily Show

Jordan Klepper dives into the headlines as Republicans close out the midterm campaign with a familiar strategy: scaring voters. From socialist dystopias and jihadist leprechauns to imaginary gender-reassignment plots, GOP candidates seem willing to try anything when actual accomplishments fall short. Meanwhile, Michael Kosta heads to California to explore the growing debate over taxing the rich, hearing from both billionaire defenders and critics who argue the ultra-wealthy are fighting to protect an unfair system. Later, Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright and actor Tracy Letts joins Klepper to discuss his film I Play Rocky, the myths surrounding the making of Rocky, shooting in the original film’s Philadelphia neighborhoods, his massive movie collection, and the lessons he learned performing improv in Chicago.
